General description of the area

“Cybowa Góra” area is located in the central part of the Miechów highlands north of Ilkowice village. Xerothermic grasslands grow on the steep slopes on the south and west exposure. Western slopes fall to the picturesque deep gorge. Length- approximately 670 m and a width- approximately 630 m. The total surface of area is 18.2 ha. The land is located between wheat fields. The area has also enabled fragment of forest.

The value and importance of the natural

The area is distinguished by its well-preserved fragments of xerothermic grasslands: Inuletum ensifoliae with: Platanthera bifolia, Orchis militaris, Epipactis helleborine, Cephalanthera damasonium, Anemone sylvestris, Aster amellus, Campanula sibirica, Carlina acaulis, Cerasus fructicosa, Linum hirsutum and Thymelaea passerina, Anagalis foemina, Adonis aestivalis. The area is of great importance for the conservation of biodiversity of agricultural landscape.
